    Re: can Global Variables be used in c#

    Wow Madhatter... that's a complicated way to do that. I always use this.

    using System;

    namespace Globals
    {
    /// <summary>
    /// Summary description for Globals.
    /// </summary>

    Re: GUI : Drawing a line on Dialog?

    There isn't a standard control, but you can easily create a UserControl to do that.

    1) Add a new UserControl to your project.
    2) In the onPaint eventhandler of the usercontrol put this code:

    ...

  4. Re: Separating Control Properties for multiple User Controls

    So basicly, you want the *same* type of usercontrol to behave *differently* without changing any of it's properties? That is, by all means, absurd if you ask me.

    I probably just don't get waht...
  5. Re: Separating Control Properties for multiple User Controls

    The way I do this, in the usercontrol I add a property:

    public string SetText
    {
    set
    {//Textbox1 is the textbox in your usercontrol
    this.textBox1.Text = value;
    ...

    Re: Selecting data from dataset

    That's just the issue. It are two different SQL servers. As far as I know you can't create stored procedures that get data from another server, or am I wrong?

    Re: Replace or substring

    It's exactly what I was saying in my last post. You add a comma to an empty string. Imagine checkbox1 is not checked but checkbox2 is.

    Start : strResult = ""
    checkbox1 is not checked so...

    Re: .NET StreamWriter Error

    I think you should put in Funciton1, before you close the streamwriter, strmWriter.Flush();

    This might not solve your problem, but it's a good programming to put it there.

    Calling DataGrid.Databind () multiple times

    Hi gurus,

    How can one call Databind () multiple times on a datagrid without deleting the rows from the previous databind call? It just needs to append the new rows to the old rows.

    Thanks!

    As far as I know, you have to put it into a class, like this:

    {
    public static int HOURS_IN_DAY = 24;
    public static int MY_IQ = 150;

    private Globals()...
