It looks like a lot of effort (and typing) went into text processing when there is an easier way.
Look at your numeric keypad. Does it look like a tic-tac-toe board? Here are your commands:

I would add a sound of a type-writer and randomize the pause in a range of 100..400 ms. :)

So to set the first sub-item's label - you pass 1; that's what they mean by "1-based".

Your code from post #1 searches ONCE for each value in array2, always from the beginning of array1.
BTW, which one of them is "a" and which "Arr"?

May I offer few suggestions before you go any further? It will make the process easier.
1. After you defined this:
const int SIZE = 20;
I would expect NOT to see any 20s in the code. But there...

Are you suggesting to re-implement std::unique?

Let me rephrase what Igor wrote earlier.
Look at your code:
Your variable 'c' is constructed and then immediately destructed when it goes out of...

I would imagine that all the time will be spent in recset.Open(), and navigating the recordset is instantaneous.
If you observe the delay in navigation, your database is likely being updated at the...

Where can one get such a job? What does it pay? How do you get the data - in the mail? How to you provide the results?

I understand that. Just pointing to while OP was about performance of the file reading, 85% of the test is spent in the std::string...
How about we will simply count line breaks?
Oh, I see....

Could you please explain this technique?
It appears to be an attempt to optimize std::string construction from a char* and pushing it into the vector - right?
My test doesn't show any improvements....

Third-party profilers might cost you more than a Studio upgrade.
There is no substitute to a profiler.
Given your limitations, I see two options:
1. Manual profiling. In your outermost function,...

No, it reads exactly as many bytes as you ask it to (in fourth parameter).

Where does it crash? And - how? Out of memory? Access violation?
November 11th, 2014, 01:52 PM
Whose message is that?
Google knows nothing about "RangeChecks instrumentation code detected an out of range array access"...
Is it produced by one of your AI modules? :)
November 10th, 2014, 09:27 AM
So, you pass an uninitialized pointer to CreateTextFormat() function?
Access violation is the BEST result in that case.
November 7th, 2014, 05:01 PM
What is TextFormat?
