    Re: JUnit

I don't mean to be harsh, but learn to use google. For example, try searching for "junit tutorial". Any of the 1000's of hits is going to show you a basic test for a method.
  2. Re: can not loat C++Cli dll after migration from C86 to X64 error 0xc06d007e

What is the target (e.g. x86 or x64) of the:
    1) main application
    2) dll you are trying to load

Are they both being compiled to the same target?
  3. Re: what is the difference b multitasking and multithreading ?

I'm into the concrete implementation on Windows.
  4. Re: what is the difference b multitasking and multithreading ?

I'm referring to the following which is a quote from post #9 but essentially was also in the link in post #10.

My issue is with "make it appear that all threads run simultaneously". On...
  5. Re: what is the difference b multitasking and multithreading ?

Seems the multitheaded explanations referenced are a bit lacking. Sure, single processor, single core hardware of 20 years ago context switched threads to gave the appearance of simultaneous...

    Re: Obfuscation

The spaghetti noodle is long and intertwining so the phrase "spaghetti code" is used to represent poorly written code. The term 'pasta' covers a wide range of noodle including spaghetti, penne, elbow...

    Re: Obfuscation

C/C++ code is fairly difficult to reverse engineer. Sure, folks that are proficient in assembly can do it with enough time and patience.

JIT languages like C# and Java are more readily reverse...
  8. Re: Invalid Form coordinates on Windows 10 tablet

There are apis that allow you to determine if you have multiple monitors. Look in msdn (I'm on a phone having breakfast now, otherwise I'd do it for you).
  9. Re: pass by value and pass by reference in Java?

Try searching in bing or google for "What is the difference between pass by value and pass by reference in Java?".
  10. Re: Invalid Form coordinates on Windows 10 tablet

I wonder if the issue is differences between dialog units and screen units. Read more with a bing 9r google search for "dialog units vs screen units".

Re: Loading and restoring MDI groups

Put breakpoints on the Load and Save MDIState methods. Then debug by manipulating the view that works. When the break points get hit, use the call stack window to back up the stack to notice the...
  12. Re: Invalid Form coordinates on Windows 10 tablet

Use a Spy++ tool to caprtue the window positions and see if it will shed any light on the issues you are running into. It should come with your installation of VB6.

Re: Loading and restoring MDI groups

    Debug your app. Step into
    LoadMDIState
    SaveMDIState
    GetRegSectionPath

and see what the methods are saving into the registry to find what data is missing. Also, do you need to add a second...

Re: Which language is better for Selenium?

What part of my response of "Which is best is subjective, and may be better answered with "What languages do you know?" or "What language does your test organization use?""
    isn't clear?
  15. Re: C++ Library with DLL exports for hiding implementation.

Can you look at the windoes api in msdn? There are 1000s of examples.

Selenium supports multiple languages. Which is best is subjective, and may be better answered with "What languages do you know?" or "What language does your test organization use?".

Re: New french coder on CodeGuru

    Welcome aboard.
  19. Re: C++ Library with DLL exports for hiding implementation.

If your dll functions reference classes, your plugin devs will have to use the same compiler & version as the version your main program was compiled with; otherwise the c++ name mangling on the...
  20. Re: Converting C++ to C# that cannot be assigned

Also look at the index accessor. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.text.stringbuilder.chars?view=netframework-4.7.2#System_Text_StringBuilder_Chars_System_Int32_
  21. Re: Messages are disappearing when using PostMessage

Have you debugged your app? Are you certain you are posting the messages to the hwnd of a wndproc where they should get handled?
  22. Re: Exporting Classes The Right Way, Tricks and Tips?

Yep, that's getting on the right track. You should supply a StopPlugin export so the caller can clean up.
  23. Re: Converting C++ to C# that cannot be assigned

C# strings are immutable, so string operations that manipulate a string always create a new string. The error you are getting is because you are trying to change a character in the string which...
  24. Re: Messages are disappearing when using PostMessage

Is your project an MFC project?
  25. Re: Exporting Classes The Right Way, Tricks and Tips?

If I remember correctly from earlier, you are allowing users to create plug-ins to run with your already compiled program. If this is true, you will still have the issues associated with passing c++...
