  1. Re: Open a blank screen and draw with mouse on it

    Perhaps it's not as easy as you think. There aren't "diles" in the github link, those are the source code files for a sample application that does what you want it to do. If you think drawing in...

    Re: EnableMenuItem problem

    See Arjay's post. Don't call the handler directly. The framework will call it when it needs to.
  3. Re: How to backtrace or backstep while debugging?

    Sounds like you need the call stack. You can set a breakpoint, then use the stack to see how you got where you are, and what the value of variables was along the way.
  4. Re: Organizing Buttons Event Handlers in another class doesn't working

    Victor is right in that that's a bad design. What does your message map look like? How are you trying to get this other class to handle your dialog's messages?

    Re: Help me

    I'm not sure he knows well enough to explain it properly.

    OP, C++ isn't like a scripting language where you can be up and running with little to no experience. Throw in Windows and DLL...

    Re: Help me

    Your question is very vague. Try asking a specific question about where you're stuck.

    Re: Cannot run C++ console application on Azure

    I've never used Azure so I'm not sure what debugging tools are available, but you may want to write to a log file at various points in your program to see how far it gets.
  8. Re: Round Up/Down Function? I'm looking to build a program that solves basic equation

    Add .5 and truncate. For example

    double d = 33.333;
    d += .5; // d now = 33.833
    int n = (int)floor(d); // n = 33

    double d = 33.73.
    d += .5; // d now == 34.23
    int n = (int)floor(d); // n...

    Re: Retrieve data from sql server database

    Using a CRecordset derived class is about as easy as it gets.
  11. Re: how to change switch to if else statement

    Not quite that easy. Look at your if statements again.

    Re: C++ Password verification problem.

    Your code is way more complicated than it needs to be.

    You could do it all in one loop over the password. Consider something like

    bool bHasUpper = false;
    bool bHasLower = false;
    bool...

    Re: Database creation

    If you write your own code, you need to process the file as a binary file, not text. I'd just use the Windows API call.

    Re: Database creation

    It would help if you were consistent with your terms. There's nothing in your post that has to do with database creation, and nothing in your code that edits anything. Saying a file becomes corrupt...

    Re: How to start a doc view app in hidden mode

    That and the OP isn't asking for an MDI doc/view overview. He's asking specifically how to stop the task bar flickering when the app starts up hidden.

    How does that help the specific problem?
  18. Re: Skip lines when write to a file using streams

    Sounds like you should be using a database. Why a CSV file? Why a spreadsheet?
  19. Re: Know the direction of the navigation on a dialog

    I'm not sure what "crescent order" is, but if the resource IDs are sequential, you can get the resource ID of the control that was left and the control that has the focus and compare them numerically.

    Re: if/else statement

    Read the assignment and read your code. You've assigned three possible values to salesTrend. The assignment only calls for two.

    Using lld instead of ld in your format string fixes it. I'm not sure what changed between versions though.
