    Question End of painting (WM_PAINT)

    Hello,

Windows GUI programming is more complex than I expected. Since now I was on the TCP side...

I needed to make some scrolling and blinking, which has been implemented by using OnTimer and then CDC::ExtTextOut, SetTextColor and SetBkColor.

It is okay, but flickers. I red what is on the forum but still could not find out how to solve this.
I tried to implement the double buffering but somehow I failed.

I have an idea to wait until a response (message) comes from paint for example WM_PAINTDONE or similar.

I attach my projectfile, if a guru would take a look on that. I would appreciate.

Keith Rule's CMemDC class should be the answer for this. Although I never used it, everybody and my grandma love it:

    Hello,

I tried it already but unfortunately I could not figure out how to apply this SDI to my DIALOG BASED application.

Is there a chance that somebody take a look on the attached files, maybe it is evident what goes wrong and I am just a lamer...
It was much easier on Amiga....
