Who provides Server for a new website?

    Hi,

If you are trying to launch a new website, making webpages are not that difficult. If you already have webpages and domain name, what to do about the server?

Is there any site that provides this info or a company who provides the server facility to launch a new website or could you do it by yourself?

    Thank you,

    Regards,
    Swati

You can do it either way. If you do it yourself, all you need is a computer connected to the internet 24/7 and appropriate web server software, e.g. Netscape, or Microsoft's Personal Web Server software that comes with Windows 2000/XP. There are quite a few companies that will host your web site. I don't recall their names off-hand but I do recall seeing their advertisments. Yahoo and Netscape may be two.
