    French Character's In Access

I have an text file with 700,000+ records. When I imported into Access all the accented characters were changed, but if I import into MS-SQL they remain the same. For example É shows up as Φ in Access 2000. What setting in Access can I change to reflect the proper characters?
    Thanks
    Paul

check the object browser for properties --- most likely it has to do with the default font; try changing your font & see if that helps. That is, are you sure the underlying DATA changed, or did it just change the way it displays the data?
