I'm trying to insert records into a access table...Everything works fine except inserting japanesse characters in which case I get the following message:

String data, right truncated(null)


//a snippet from my code :

m_recSet.AddNew();
m_recSet.m_Status=strStat.Left(1);
m_recSet.m_Type="opop"
m_recSet.m_Location=1111;


The above code works fine...

if m_recSet.m_Type=japanesse characters the above code doesnt work.


m_recSet is derived from odbc CRecordset....
