    Question Ascii - Arrows

    i have read other threads but it was not that i was looking for.
    DO the Arrow Keys (left,down,right,up) have Ascii codes?
    If they, what are them?

    If you are trying to detect them in a textbox or something, you can check the KeyDown or KeyUp event:
    Left Arrow = 37
    Right Arrow = 39
    UpArrow = 38
    DownArrow = 40
    Please remember to rate the posts and threads that you find useful.
    How can something be both new and improved at the same time?

    They don't have ASCII code per-se, but they do have a KEYCODE associated with them. Is that what you mean?

    The codes are:

    1 (end) = 35
    2 (down) = 40
    3 (PgDwn) = 34
    4 (left) = 37
    5 (centre) = 12
    6 (right) = 39
    7 (home) = 36
    8 (up) = 38
    9 (PgUp) = 33
    0 (ins) = 45

    That help?

    Re: Ascii - Arrows

    What ASCII code should be 2424832 for Left Arrow?
    Not only that the thread is 6 years old...
    I'm really intrigued what ledjorge wants to tell us here.

    Re: Ascii - Arrows

    It's wrong, I guess.

    (Left-Arrow) UTF-8 E28690

    I was going to say UNICODE, so I looked it up. 2190 is left-arrow

    Re: Ascii - Arrows

    Well yes, there are unicodes which might be graphical representations of arrows, but those have nothing to do with the arrow keys on the keyboard. They only have keycodes and have no graphical representation and therefore NO ASCII code at all.
