    Code For Smtp Server

    Hi ALL,
How do i go about building my own SMTP Server using Java Code such that it doesnt rely on External SMTP Server to send the messages. Any kind of of help will be of tremendous use for me especially if there is already some code available. I'am new to Protocols. THanks a lot.

    check it out

Apache is OpenSource so if you need you can check out the code but be sure to give credit where it is due

the protocols shouldn't be hard, just accept incomming transmissions on port 25(SMTP)
and send mail out on 110(i believe this is POP3)
and the james project at apache also includes nntp
    network news transfer protocol
