    Too many fields defined.(error 3190)

    Hi everyone

    I have a .mdb that was topped out with 255 fields. Since it became a problem, I deleted 150 of the fields to redesign it. Unfortunately, when I tried to add another field (there are currently 91 fields remaining), I still got the message "Too many fields defined.(error 3190)". What's going on here?
    I'm using VB6 with Access 7

    Thanks

    Tom

    Try...

    ..To compact and repair the Mdb. (see access menus for
    ->Tools->Database utility->Compact & Repair)
    ...at present time, using mainly Net 4.0, Vs 2010
