    ToolTip Positioning

Hi, I am using api's to make a tooltip for a control. The text changes as the control is being used, but I want the tooltip to stay at a specific location, and not follow the mouse. I can get the tip where I want, but with each time the text changes, it hops back to the mouse. If I include code to reset the position each time the text changes, then it flickers back and forth between the two locations. How can I get it to stay where I want? Thanks

You can create a small top window withought titlebar and other stuff so that it looks like a tool tip window and display text in that window.
    Hope this will help.

Yes, that is what I'm doing. I just can't figure out how to get it to stay in one spot while the mouse moves.
