Are there any guides of how to make VB interact with MS Word?

I am doin a college project and we have to make a VB program that is pretty much an estimating system that produces (surprisingly enough!) an estimate.

I would like to make a template in MS Word that the VB program could feed data into - this can then be printed / emailed as required.

If anyone knows of any guides/walkthroughs I would really appreciate some links.
