multithreaded dll vs. multithreaded debug dll vs. single threaded, etc etc

    Hello all,

When I build a static library (.lib) for release, what Runtime library setting should I use? Will someone that is developing an application say that is 'Debug Multi Threaded' by able to use my library if its runtime library setting is 'Multithreaded DLL" ? Or will I have to release multiple different version of my library that have different runtime library settings so its portable?

Read the MSDN help. The only real difference between Multithreaded and Multithreaded DLL is how the MFC stuff is linked in. It's wither included staticaly or in a DLL.
