Interesting, thank you for sharing this with us
Get this small utility to do basic syntax highlighting in vBulletin forums (like Codeguru) easily.
Supports C++ and VB out of the box, but can be configured for other languages.

Well...some comments....make sure that you read the official Microsoft site first. This service pack is only for Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++ 6.0 with Visual SourceSafe 6.0d.
Microsoft recommends to update if you are using one of the above. However, if you are using Visual J++ or the remaining components from Visual Studio 6.0 you should stick with service pack 5. If you are using both Visual C++ and Visual J++ for example...well...nobody knows...
Furthermore, Visual SourceSafe 6.0d was not part of the Visual Studio 6.0 package (it was version 6.0c)...

I had installed the service pack. It prompted me a message that it detected VC processor pack installed and it is going to overwrite it that my VC would no longer have asm instrinsic support. Click "Yes" to proceed or "No" to exit setup.
I clicked yes. I hope MS would release a processor pack for SP6. Previously, MS had released 2 processor packs for SP4 and SP5.
I also hope MS would release a service pack for VS.Net 2002 as promised.

A couple of interesting fixes in there...ho hum, wished they would go into more detail for Q329594. If anybody has run across this, I'd like to know what the scenario is.

I have read about various problems under certain operating systems, like:
- Nothing worked (all dll's could not be found etc.) after installing it on Windows XP
- Only worked for user that have administrative privileges on Windows 2000 after installing
Looks still like the even service packs are not the best...
