I have a problem with my Print Processor (TCP/IP Print Processor). The data is get from LPR command send by LINUX, UNIX, or AS400 iSeries to my printer (in Windows environment).
After printing fine for about 20-30 days, I can no longer get any data (I only can get a blank data). When I restarted my computer, everything works as normal.
My question is, why do I need to restart the computer after printing for 20-30 days? This problem occurs on Windows XP (SP1 & SP2), Windows 2000 Professional/Server/Advanced Server, and Windows 2003 Advanced Server. I haven't tested in Windows NT/ME/98 since I do not need to support those OS.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Cheers
PS.
It is not a memory-leak problem because:
- the spool.exe size is still in reasonable size.
- I have tried to restart both Print Spooler and TCP/IP Print Server and still causing the problem.
Do you have Prints Errors in the Windows Event Box?
Witch Event IDs? If the Error comes to the Print processor Witch Win32 Errors returns the Print Processor? Rgrds
