Nice picture that - Caramel.
BTW, Assembly Programming is an incredibly wonderful way to start a software career if working on system level interests you, that is. Almost nothing gets lower than Assembly, and as you move on to higher-level languages, you would really know "How Stuff Works" to a level of detail few others would.
So, good luck with your career.

yeah i understand assembly is useful, it's just so much easier to deal with high-level languages because they're more english-like

Guido, your guess for meaning of 'sophomore' is way better than mine. Actually, mine would be substituted with asterisks here, I am afraid

Well, 'sophomore' means nothing else than 'second year'... But it still doesn't tell us what kind of engineering she's studying.

i'm studying hmmmm... lol... let's just say that i'll graduate with a b.s. in engineering with a concentration in mechatronics... it's an engineering program that combines mechanical, computer, and electronics engineering

Mechatronics? Well, in that case, getting a solid foundation in assembly language is indeed a good idea.

Maybe you can be Assembly forum guru. The forum lacks one, I guess!

Well, that was not a joke. How much you wan't to excell is decided by you yourself. No one is born an expert! I'm not saying you can be a guru overnight...but in time. And the best way in hanging around a forum. I've seen quite a few people, here itself, excelled that way!

All the great masters started as pupils. But they worked hard and outtopped their masters.
BTW, is caramel your real name?
