Hmm, I should visit this thread more often... Recently (like last winter), we had a ton of snow dump on us here in Colorado. Shut the office down and everything. So, I put together a little collage, so to speak:
In five days we went from mid to upper 60's (deg F) to 3-4 feet of snow...

On a Sunday I left Reno for Beale AFB in Marysville,CA (Had a class and time in the Altitude chamber Monday morning), about a 2.5 hour drive, normally...it took me 11.5 hours...here is why...between the weekend casino guest headed back to Oakland/San Francisco/Sacramento and the snow...it was exciting to say the least. This storm dropped 8ft in north Lake Tahoe, yes the pass was closed most of the next day and it was Tuesday morning before I could drive back over the pass...this is a picture from that drive

"The speed of non working code is irrelevant"... Of course that is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."...Calvin Coolidge 30th President of the USA.

Coincedentilly, I'm also posting some photo's I took on Wednesday morning. Tuesday evening, around 11 PM, it started snowing. This was the Very first time in my life I see snow falling, and actual snow
I took these photo's yesterday morning, at about 6 AM. It's not perfect photo's, I had to do some editing..
The first photo, shows our house's front, with the snow on the roofs
The second photo, shows on of our gates.
The third photo, just shows, how some of the trees looked
As for you Hannes, I'm glad that you had a chance to see snow falling. Though this isn't probably a good news. Climate changes are affecting the entire planet.
I had a flight to the San Diego area a week ago and made arrangements to meet and have lunch with VladimirF, I forgot to take picture for this thread, oh well.
We had a very nice lunch and chatted about programming, MS and all the strange folk here on CG.
I found Vlad to be a very nice and intelligent person and well deserving of his new MVP status, looking forward to the next trip back to the area and maybe spending more time talking about programming and other worthless topics.
If anyone here gets into the Reno area I'll expect a PM before you arrive so we can meet and share a meal.
