    Executable behaving strangley

I've had a couple of people using my application for the first time mention that when they open the program the computer tries to install MS Office or a 3D application. The program has been in use for 5 years. This problem has occurred recently. Is there a bug out there doing this or are their operating systems malfunctioning. On startup, the only call the program is making is to an MS Access database, no other applications.

Whenever you run office or even use part(s) of the MS Office, the office installer checks if the files required is not installed or corrupted and may install it if necessary. If you noticed, the MS Office installer have the option "Install on first use". This will activate the installation dialog the first time we use that component.

Let the office installation dialog finish and it won't show again (unless it was corrupted again). You may also try to add MDAC (if not present) in your installation program.

    Hope it will help you.
