    Re: selecting records in msacces between 2 dates

    i changed the MMM to MM and i don't get the error, i looked up in my database and the dates are stored as text, do i have to changes them to dataype date/time?

    does such a change has consequenses on the rest of my program?
    => i enter the vaccinations in an other form called frmNieuweVaccinatie
    (frmNewVaccination) and i use a datepicker to get the date, wich is
    then ofcourse stored in the datebase

    thnx

    Well, not necessarily, if it works it works, BUT it's good practise to keep the dates consitent and it is easier to manipulate data of the same data type. Try to change the data type, and see what happens..

    It shouldn't have any effect on the rest of the program, but as I've mentioned, it will work better.

    hey, i changed the datatype to date/time in my database and now, finally i get back the right results in my listview, thanx to all who helped me

    just one other question, i want to add, just for the show, a sand glass during the time the program is searching the database (it sometimes takes a while) so that other persons know they just have to wait

    Code:
            MousePointer = vbHourglass
    'your code here
    Set it back to default once finished
    Code:
    'Change the mousepointer back to the arrow
            MousePointer = vbDefault

    Dear KoenBuytaert,

    Chnage the above syntax to

    Code:
     screen.mousepointer = vbhourglass
    and then set back to

    Code:
     screen.mousepointer = vbnormal
    to get clear results, as just mousepointer will work for only active control not for the whole sceen.

    regards !
