    Smile mfc linking problem

i'm trying to compile in .NET2003 a C++ MFC project developed in an older version of the environment (probably 2002). I have a linking error "unable to find mfc70.lib", in fact .NET2003 contains mfc71.lib. Could you tell me where do I have to modify the project to tell the linker to point the newer version of the library?
    Many thanks,
    Faggio.

Have you tried to Rebuild Solution? Have you specified the correct directories in the Tools, Options, VC++ Directories for Library Files, Include Files, etc.?

    Re: mfc linking problem

I've rebuilt the whole solution and I've tried to modify
"Project\Property\Linker\General\Additional Library Directory" adding the reference to mfc71.lib directory but it does not work. I've to understand where in the project there's a link to the old mfc70.lib library.. other ideas?
    Thanks,
    Faggio.

    Re: mfc linking problem

I have never had a problem with opening/compiling projects created on a previous version of the IDE, so I don't know where you reference to mfc70.lib is. Try to search all your files for the string mfc70.lib.
Perhaps you are using another library that links to mfc70.lib?

    Re: mfc linking problem

..already tried to find mfc70.lib without success. yes, I think the only possibility is that another referenced lib points to the old version of mfc, and in this case I believe there is no solution..
