    Calculate integral in Java

    Dear all,

I was wondering if there are some functions that can calculate indefinite and definite integral in Java. I could not find any. Is any library support that and can be imported?

    I really appreciate any help.

    Regards,

There's no standard library support for this but there may be free libraries available if you search online.

Goal: given continuous function f(x) of one variable, compute ∫ f(x) dx over interval from a to b. TrapezoidalRule.java numerically integrates a function of one variable using the trapezoidal rule

I would have a serious look at Matlab (or some other high-level math package). It's possible to call Matlab functions from Java,

Then you get access to lots of math functions including numerical integration,

And possibly even symbolic manipulation of math expressions,
