My vote goes to the chick whose eyes you can see in the jupiterimages banner on the codeguru homepage. I see her face atleast 20 times a day, and a tiny crush has developed

And I think Max was talking about Monica Bellucci?

C'mon this doesnt even look like a fair poll... are these the only women who did something in 2005?? I am sure there are more and better.. In this list I guess all of them are actresses except a few .. may be .. I dont know. I know just - Diaz, Jolie, Shanon, Shakira and Maria Sharapova. Where is the Indian tennis star.. Shania Mirza... she has to be there too if you have Maria..

I won't poll.. they are not even eligible for women of the year .. or atleast first provide us with some stats about who did what so that we are in sync..

Oh well, I read a article on magazine mentioning about the top 10 women of the the year. therefore just listed it down to see the poll at codeguru as compare to the public out there. Didn't mean to miss out anyone.
This is not about universal woman of year 2005. It's just a plain and simple woman of year 2005 poll. If you think this is an unfair poll, It's fine with me not casting your vote because the vote belongs to you and I'm in no position to force you to vote. It may end up be a 10 person voting at the end, afterall I'm just curious about the result.

Whether to cast your vote, it's up to you.
And I'm sure some may chance upon such article, be it in the newspaper or magazine. I'm sure you people read. If you could notice the women stated in the poll are mostly from celebrities and a few from sports (whom are pick because they are pretty and successfull. --- stated in the article.). I myself have no idea what they did to deserve "Woman of year 2005" simply because they are just celebrities. I voted Angelina Jolie because i FELT she fits the title. If you FEEL someone listed in the poll deserve "Woman of year 2005" then vote. If there isn't, DON'T VOTE.

    Re: Woman of year 2005

I voted for Jessica Alba simply because she had many movies this year (2005) and I believe, she's starting to "break out" this year also, aside from the fact that she is pretty/sexy too (I'm not saying the others are not).

It would have been nicer if I can read that article online. But that's alright. I don't even know three of the women listed/polled in the article, and its surprising what I've found about them in my google search. (I'm impressed with Heather Mitts)

Speaking of polls, AskMen.com have their own "Top 99 Most Desirable Women 2005" ... I'm sure Moni is there, among other favorites of the male gender here at CG.

well...from the list, I've to vote for Angelina Jolie...she's not my fav, but from the list, she deserved my vote...

reason?...well, she care about the 3rd countries and the UN representative...that's something great about her...as for the others(even though I don't recognized some of them), their achievements are centred to themselves...but Angie's achievement is about helping others...

    ...???...

What you said is true. But I dunno... she lost one point for me because of the Brad issue. Ofcourse, its not entirely her fault. But still... (Just my opinion).
