    Convert VB project to Delphi

I'm looking for a tool that can convert complete VB project, forms, modules and class modules, to Delphi

Does anybody have experience with such a tool?

I'm not happy with this decision, but I plan to leave VB while MS leaves VB6, and I don't like to switch to VB.NET

    Why Delphi?
Delphi supports NET but can also produce an exe. And it's more powerfull than VB.

Re: Convert VB project to Delphi

Firstly, VB6 will remain for quite some time yet. There may not be new versions of VB in the works, but all windows versions can run VB6 programs. That's not about to change for a long time. I wouldn't switch to .net either.

Delphi seems fairly nice from what I've seen/read. I keep meaning to get around to diving into it.

As for alternatives, there's RealBasic, LibertyBasic, and others.

Some basic programming tools, compilers, IDE's, etc:

How can something be both new and improved at the same time?

Re: Convert VB project to Delphi

    Thank's for your answers WizBang.
Im sure that VB will remain for next year or two. I expect installation problems on new Windows versions, since MS will not provide new ServicePacks for VB6.

I want to find a good solution:
    • new environment as good or better than VB6
    • possibility to convert project automatically to a new enivironment
    • I dont't like to be in the same situation in the future - forced to switch to new envirnoment once again

Delphi seems to be a good solution. A lot of learning is involved because of new syntax and IDE, but maybe it's worth.

If anyone has make a conversion, please share your experience.

There is a user named bubu, who switched to Delphi. I haven't seen them log on in quite awhile, which I guess isn't surprizing.
