Arrow calling VB.NET windows service methods

Just i've created windows service called "MYserv1" and controlled(like start and stop) it via VB.NET client apps.(simplw VB.NET windows apps)

Now i want to write my own function calls in the windows service. i need to pass the parameters as well as need to get a value from the function.

How to do it? Most importantly, how can i access methods of windows service from client program.

If this is not a right place to ask this question kindly direct me.

    Thank U!

Re: calling VB.NET windows service methods

In your Client App you would have used ServiceController class tocontrol the behaviour of the service. You can use the same SCM to send custom commands to your service. This can be done by overriding OnCustomCommands in your Windows Service.
