Heaventools Software released Resource Tuner Console 1.5

Resource Tuner Console enables developers to automate editing of resources in Windows executables. This command-line resource editor allows creating a repeatable process for updating and customizing resources.

ResTuner Console combines a robust resource editor with intelligent script capabilities. It's a great timesaver. It does not require manual opening files. It is 1000 times faster than traditional resource editors so you can get onto more important things. Just run a script via a stand-alone command-line exe, and you are done.

Sample scripts illustrated the new features can be found within the Resource Tuner Console package. An evaluation version can be downloaded from http://www.heaventools.com/download.htm

What's new and noteworthy in the version 1.5:

+ Now supports editing embedded XML manifests.
+ Added the OpenFileEx function to simplify writing scripts.
* Fixed errors that occaissionally occurred when saving files with
Extra Data (such as debug info, digital certificate, etc).

Runs on All Windows (95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP SP2/2003).

If your build process involves replacing an icon resource with an icon from an ico file, Resource Tuner Console is the solution. It also enables you to add versioning to files that contain no resources at all. RTC replaces all the string resources of a medium-sized program within a second. In addition, you can convert a single-language resource directory into a multi-lingual one, or create a copy of the resource with another specified language.
