Recommendation for a good RFID development kit

    Hi,

I'm currently in my last year of uni, for my project I am implementing a tracking system using RFID, the problem is finding a good dev kit.

searching **** gives a few results, but only one seems to give sample c++ code and no sdk.

All I need is a PCB with antenna and connection to a laptop with some type of start code or sdk that I can build from.

Could you guys point me in the right direction i need it to be cheap but with what i need (i realise "cheap" is relative )

Search did not really turn up much even with just "rfid" as criteria.

    Regards
    cyph

Re: What RFID development kit purpose?

TI offers a good low Frequency passive transponder and RFID system we use to score off-road Motorcycle Races here in Nevada. The cost with a passive transponder is the antenna. No knowing your purpose I'd say
http://www.ti.com/rfid/default.htm would be a good place to start.
Go to DigiKey http://pdfcatalog.digikey.com/T063/0404.pdf contains some of the evaluation kits you might consider.

A bit late but could be helpful.
Just started a new open source project (LGPL license) for RFID development with various chips and readers supported.
Developed in C++, can be called in C# through a COM layer : http://liblogicalaccess.islog.com
