Re: CodeGuru Conference/Meeting.
They might sponsor a car, but not an Indy party, or any other public meeting. Even MVP's paid their own way to the Summit.

Huh? The "summit" you are referring to is a Microsoft event, not a Jupitermedia event. I don't get the connection to a "Codeguru event"
If you guys are serious about this, then I'd suggest a European event and an American event. I'd also suggest doing it around a conference or other event, so that some people can try to use that as justification for the trip (and thus write the trip off). If you do it around something like Tech Ed in June, then it would be in Orlando, Florida (land of Mickey Mouse), then that would let people take some family or such.
Meeting other Codeguru's in Seattle has been a lot of fun. Germany, Korea, Romania, the US, and others have all met. Quite cool.

Re: CodeGuru Conference/Meeting.
Just meant that it wasn't a paid-for event, and wouldn't become one here.

Well, I'm still in favour of a meeting... just about anywhere. Anyone?

It's a great idea, if it's next month in NYC, I'll be there.

And I thought you'd say Croatia... ?
Since when did Belgium become your country of choice?

Re: CodeGuru Conference/Meeting.
If we can do it in Europe and America, why can't we have it in Asia.
Dubai would be nice.

Errmmm... Why is someone from India recommending Dubai of all places?
I thought there were more developers in Bangalore than grains of sand in Dubai?

I would love to have it in India. Any place in India would be good. As two of them had already said Dubai so I just voted that.

Dubai would be nice. But I'll say any place but South Africa, unless you want your flight luggage to disappear LOL!
