    Hi Folks,

This thread is a platform where CG members who made it to the MVP Summit 2007 can share their experiences with others.

The Summit is a platform that helps put (real) faces and personalities into those whom we know of in the form of Avataars and User Names!

Keep visiting this thread to know the latest on Codegurus @ The MVP Summit 2007!

    Ciao,
    Sid!

Thumbs up Re: MVP Summit 2007 - The Experience

My first impressions of Seattle can be found in here.

In a few minutes from now, Marius (Cilu), Guido and I would meet at the reception of The Westin - making this our first meeting outside Europe!

I am looking forward to it.

I also hope to meet other CG-members today, or in the days to come.

Re: MVP Summit 2007 - The Experience

I have just returned from a visit to the Seattle Needle. The observation deck has a great view over the city. Fortunately the rain has stopped, so the view was pretty clear. I also visited several places including the Science Fiction Museum and Science Museum, were I met some scientists that are involved in a project that monitors the ice of the Arctic ocean. They were promoting the work they do, answering people questions. I also had the chance to get into a tent they use a the Pole and observe the tools they use. It was pretty interesting.

I have just bought a socket adaptor in a luggage store on 3rd and Stewart called Bergman Luggage - in case anyone else is looking for such a thing ;-)

Ah, good to know... I brought a spare adapter, but already gave it to a fellow CG member who didn't read my reminder about that in time...

Re: MVP Summit 2007 - The Experience

Update: So yesterday evening, Marius, Sid and I had dinner together in an Italian restaurant nearby (good choice of location, Sid! ) after our initial plans to go to an Indian restaurant a little further away got somehow blown away by the strong wind...

Guido, you should have posted a picture with all the three of us. So here it is one from the lobby at Westin.

It was really great meeting these two fine guys once again after quite some time, and catching up on a lot of offline chit chat (almost no technical discussions ) over what's been a simple, but very tasty Italian dinner.

Ah, but I was about to do that - I'm not done yet with posting...

    Thanks.

Yes, I managed to read the reminder after I reached the US... Ditto for the message on CG-members wearing CG shirts. I guess, I am going to be the odd man out in the afternoon sessions what with the rest of you in uniforms...

Okay, here's another attempt at posting a picture that will make it through the rigid censoring... Again us three at the Westin lobby after dinner, over a beer, a more close-up version...

I don't have a CG shirt either - so there'll be two of us out o uniform.
Although it could be argued that my Ireland ugby shirt is my de facto uniform.

    Hi everybody,

I am at Hyatt. I will try to locate you in Westin.

Okay... I guess we should find you at the EMEA dinner tonight?

We haven't seen you yet, but recognizing one of us should be an easy task for you... Actually, Alin did precisely that at the Pike Market an hour ago.

Re: MVP Summit 2007 - The Experience

Oops, I fear the chronological order is getting messed up... So let me just quickly finish posting about last night. After getting back to my room around midnight, I took this quick shot of nightly Seattle...
