how to download fonts to a laser printer

Anyone know win32 api functions to do this using VC++ 2005 Pro on XP and through the network print drivers. I need to print barcodes but must download the barcode font first.

    Thanks

Nowaday, the font files stay on the computer, and the driver sends whole bitmaps to the printer during the printing process.

I have printed barcodes successfully several times. I use the 3of9 kind of barcodes. The font file needs to be installed once in Windows like an ordinary font file. I installed it via Windows control panel, but there should be an API for installing fonts as well. The 3of9 kind of code requires a star "*" at the beginning and at the end of the number composing the barcode. Other kind of barcodes require checksums or other things.
