.NET 1.1 (2003) and .NET 2.0 (2005) ARE VERY DIFFERENT WHEN IT COMES TO ADO.NET


Please say what version of .net you are using

Also say what database youre using


This avoids wasting the experts time giving an answer that doesnt apply to you, or drilling you for vital information necessary to help you.
Remember; forums are about helping others to help you. Help them first, by making a very informative post. Include code where possible and try and tell us what you are hoping to achieve, not just what problem you have encountered with your envisaged solution - your solution may not be a good way to reach the goal.
