    New Here

Hi there, Im new here AND Im new to C++. I have lots of experience with server-side languages.

My goal is go get into game programming. I am an incredibly fast learner(i created a full myspace/facebook style system that was completely secure 1 week after i started learning php AND mysql). Could anyone give me suggestions on what to learn, and whats a time frame that itl take to learn?

    Thank you all!

C# would be a good direction. It's newer, and you can also use it for many things. Not sure if games are it's strongpoint, but, you can always rewrite sections in a quicker langage.

Maybe read The C++ Programming Language, and then, learn OpenGL and SDL or DirectX.
