    Password validation?

Whats the best way to check whether an entered username/password is correct on a login form. My plan was to store username and password into a file and then feed them into an array list, then check whether they are valid by looping through them all. What would be the best method....via a list of all valid users on XML file, Binary file or Access DB, or is there another better method?

Well, how long is a piece of string?

Additionally, your question has been covered a few thousand times before all over the world.. did you really have no luck googling for an answer?

Take a look at .NET forms authentication.
