Creating Objects in XP
Hello,
I am a developer, not a system admin but I got assigned the task to research something for a software we are starting to build.
Here is the task:
So we will create an inventory management system. This system will use Windows Authentication to log in.
So what I need to find out is this:
1.How to create and add custom permissions on the domain in XP(other
than the ones that already come with the system - Read,Write,Modify, etc)
So for example when I right click on a folder in addition to the default
permissions I will also see for example ( Review transaction, Add new
Inventory Item,etc)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Creating Objects in XP
First of all I disagree with your idea of using systems folders for review transaction/adding new inventory item. for this purpose use database, in a networked environments using system folder for this purpose only help to complicate matters, try database programming for the above purpose.
ok, your application can use windows integrated authentication - let's discuss later
