Thumbs up Sams Teach Yourself C++ in One Hour a Day

    Hello

Just borrowed a book an inter-library loan (which mean it's from a different library in a different suburb).

    Called:
Sams Teach Yourself C++ in One Hour a Day - 6th Edition

Siddharta Rao, an author of the book who's bio I just read (in the book). Mentioned that he is a moderator on this forum!

    Awesome!

    Congrats Sid

    Thanks for [co-]writing the book!

Oh, and thanks go to Bradley Jones as well!

    Great work!

Thanks also for co-writing the book!

Keep up the great work guys!

Hopefully I will learn a lot from your new book!

    K, Thanks.

In that case I'll send him a PM to thank him.

EDIT: Couldn't find his name on the member list. What is his username?

We did a slow chat with the Microsoft VC++ team a while back (I'm working to set up a new one in the future). Would people be interested in a slow chat with a group of book authors? If so, what authors would you like to see in such a chat? I can't promise they will do it, but I am happy to ask a few!

A special forum like this one that is only open for about a week. You ask questions of a specific topic and the guest will provide answers.

It is a chat in that it is back and forth between us (the codeguru community) and the guest; however, it is slow because it is in forum time, not real time.
