last reply in this Forum was on the first of this month (1st April) ...
makes me wonder is it some kind of April Fool's Day trick?

Yes, if people don't start using it (the Python forum), then it is going to be disbannded.

    Re: Python Forum

I haven't been doing much Python development on my end right now, so I have nothing to discuss. Later, however, when I start doing a little more python programming I will definitely be using it more. It's only been 2 months, I say give it 4 more at least.

Actually it is the same situation (although little better than here) on Python Forum
There are hardly any users online, I mostly see 3 users online
    - Me
    - Google Bot
    - MSN Bot

Weeks pass without any reply, the Python people do not seem to be helpful, I think!

    Re: Python Forum

I think the problem is that python can be an intuitive language and the docs that exist for it are very good. What ever I couldn't from the pydocs I got from Dive Into Python.

Still it would be good to have a Python community here on Code Guru. The real issue may be that there is not a lot of development being done in Python or that the development may not be that hard.

It would be sweet to see people discuss things like calling Python from C++ or using DLL's with Python. There are a lot of cool things going for Python too like Iron Python or Iron Python Studio.

I'll just hope things pick up.
