Highest Number you Know? (Competition)
Hi, here's a competition.
I was just horsing around and i found the biggest number ever
The number must be written in letters, it doesen't have to be correct spelled.
Here Goes:
Ninehundred Ninetynine Quad-rillion Ninehundred Ninetynine Trillion Ninehundred Ninetynine Billion Ninehundred Ninetynine Million Ninehundred Ninetynine Thousand Ninehundred Ninetynine
So that was my number, in numbers it would be =
999999999999999999
To remind you, you may not do something like Nine grillion frillion billion quad-rillion
You have to know what you're saying.
Edit:
Please add something weird, funny or cool including the number
Mine:
Many people know the Remington 700 (R700) a nice Sniper Rifle.
here's my version
Remington 999999999999999999 (R999999999999999999)
hehe :P
Um, this is not needed for the Competition. Just something funny/weird/cool to the thread

Ninehundred Ninetynine vigintillion Ninehundred Ninetynine novemdecillion (novendecillion) Ninehundred Ninetynine octodecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine sseptendecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine exdecillion (sedecillion)Ninehundred Ninetynine quindecillion (quinquadecillion) Ninehundred Ninetynine quattuordecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine tredecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine duodecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine undecillion Ninehundred Ninetynine decillion Ninehundred Ninetynine nonillion Ninehundred Ninetynine octillion Ninehundred Ninetynine septillion Ninehundred Ninetynine sextillion Ninehundred Ninetynine quintillion Ninehundred Ninetynine Quad-rillion Ninehundred Ninetynine Trillion Ninehundred Ninetynine Billion Ninehundred Ninetynine Million Ninehundred Ninetynine Thousand Ninehundred Ninetynine
That is 10^66 - 1.
The next higher named unit is centillion (10^603)
btw : googol (10^100) and googolplex (10^googol) are also recognized by the majority of standards institutes.
centillion

Re: Highest Number you Know? (Competition)
I should note that I let my American bias in on this. Switching to traditional British, most of the terms go in powers of 6 rather than 3, so that
1 Billion is:
nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-nine million nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-nine
With similar replacements throughout. This increates the number
from 10^(66-1)
to 10^ (105-1)
Making a virgintillion 10^57 times more valuable!
