SIMPL (http://www.icanprogram.com/simpl) is a 10 year old open source project which produces an ultra lightweight toolkit useful for joining programs written in different languages (C, C++, JAVA, Python and Tcl/Tk) together using the Send/Receive/Reply messaging first pioneered by QNX.

The most recent language to be added to the SIMPL family is JAVA. The easiest way to "kick the tires" on this new release is to grab yourself a linux box (or liveCD) and download the precompiled binary tarball at: http://www.icanprogram.com/simpl/javabin.self.html

We welcome your feedback on all of the SIMPL toolkit, but in particular we are looking for the simplest possible demo which has any real world proof of concept value for both the Python-SIMPL and JAVA-SIMPL extensions.
