[RESOLVED] Distribute & partition mySQL database across machines
Hi,
Is it possible to distribute & partition a mySQL database across several machines, so that each machine contains a unique section/segment of the overall database.
MySQL Cluster seems to provide the facility for cloning a database across machines (i.e. replicas of the database on each machine). However is it possible to partition a database across machines?
Thanks

I think you need federated tables.
Check this article: MySQL Federated Tables: The Missing Manual
