crystal reports vs reporting services for excel exporting
Hi,
I am new to crystal reports but have loads of reports in reporting services.
reporting services excel to export feature is crap, it gives merged cells, numbers does not get rendered in number format and total does not get rendered as per excel formulas, please could you let me know what is the situation in latest version of crystal reports for excel reporting?

Not entirely sure what you need to. I too do reporting off excel and use version CR8.5 with limited problems. CR & Excel don't work perfectly together although i can't speak for the newer versions of CR.
Good Luck : )
**There is a version of CR that comes with VB2008, might want to check that out.

You might also check the Excel Automation.
Fill the predefined excel file with the data you grabbed from db or some other external data source.
