    Angry Visual Studio question

For some reason I can't find the answer anywhere. I have Visual Studio 2005 installed, but the only things I can do with it are SQL server projects, I can't see anywhere to tell it I want to do VB stuff. Can anyone tell me how to set up VS to allow me to do VB stuff (and other .net languages).

    Re: Visual Studio question

Well I guess you have Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) installed. This is part of SQL Server installation and does only SQL Server related projects like Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, etc. BIDS uses the same IDE as VS 2005/2008.

If you want to use Visual Studio, (VB, C# or C++) you will either have to check whether you have a licensed copy and get that installed or buy one from MSDN. You can also download and install a trail version which incidentally can also be found on MSDN (www.msdn.com)
