Re: Vb6 Installation issue on Windows 7
firoz.raj Is there a reason that you did not bother to answer the question as to the source of the installation media? Should I assume that it is not a legit copy and perhaps that is the source of the problem?

Re: Vb6 Installation issue on Windows 7
If you are also having a problem installign under XP then the UAC is not the issue as it does not exist under XP. I would suspect the installation media in this case.
if really it is .then i want to purchase Original version vb6 for my Laptop and Computer.can you tell me any Portal Link on the web to purchase vb6(Original Version). Kindly let me know the idea.Any help would be highly appreciated.

Re: Vb6 Installation issue on Windows 7
Vb is not a cheap piece of software. The pro version listed on NextTag is roughly $400 this is for a single PC.
While it is more expensive the better value for a developer is the MSDN pro roughly $1200 for a first timer but you get VB6 Enterprise edition, VS2003, 2005, 2008 All MS OS for testing as well as support. In fact you get 1 year of access to the subscriber site where you can download all these and more plus any new version of these which may be released during that year. After you are a memeber you can renew at a lower cost.

Re: Vb6 Installation issue on Windows 7
No, that is how much visual studio is going for and if you want to develop professionally off of your computer using that software suite, you have to pay that price or face jail time and fines that are equal to or more than likely greater than any profit you made from selling your software but if you look further, you will find cheaper prices...
Good Luck

I would guess the answer should be Monster.com. Maybe the next guy HAS VB6, or at least USED it before?

but Friend is telling no need to purchase vb6 Now.Microsoft is not giving support to vb6.Better Purchase vs2008 or vs 2010.additional sometimes i simple copy my ongoing *.vbp file.and go some another country just like UAE,Qatar or different location of Saudi arabia.it is illegal to copy the vb6 project without having their licence copy in my flash drive ???.
and if anyone has purchase the programme .is it essential to suggest to him.to purchase vb6,vs2008,2010 licence copy of them.since it has made in ???.let me know.

Re: Vb6 Installation issue on Windows 7
You must purchase it if you want to use it legally. Yes better to purchase VS2008 better still to purchase MSDN which gets you VB6 and VS2003 2005 2008 and 2010 as well as other goodies.
