The first thing you need to decide is whether you're interested in learning C, or C++. The two languages overlap but support different styles.
Do you want to get things done safely and easily, but at somewhat higher level of abstraction? C++. Or do you prefer to have a firmer handle on precisely what the computer is doing, despite needing to take a bit more care not to do something bad? Then you should check out C.

C... easy ?
Books that have 'learn' and 'in ... days' in the title, lie. You can't learn C in ... days. Doesn't mean it's a bad book though.
Why don't you read the first 1-2 chapters of each book... try some examples in there and see where it goes. It's not about the book, but about the person who is reading it

You probably read this already: Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years by Peter Norvig. http://norvig.com/21-days.html
