    any C++ suit

    my friiend wants to start learning C++. Can anybody help me with reference to free comppiler-debuger tool? The best is VS 6.0, pre .NET. thanks.

    Your friend could download and use Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express.

    The compiler included in VS 6.0 is definitely not the best C++ compiler for a beginner because it is pre-standard.

    If it is about C++, and not about MS Visual Studio, QT is also a possibility.
