    data connectivity

    Is there a way, if at all possible, to config an ODBC connection between a local and remote box to allow the local box with Crystal installation to run a report locally and pull data from the remote server without the aid of a VPN? I have the IP address, a login ID/Pw, dsn name, ID/Pw...

    I have try to set up a User, System, and File dsn without any luck...please advise.

    can you ping the machine ?

    If you can then check the firewall settings.

    If still issue persists then you have to consult your network administrator.
