Anyone familiar with Steinberg VST?
Earlier today I downloaded the VST SDK from Steinberg. It's a C++ toolkit that allows you to develop audio plugins for Windows and OS-X as well as (supposedly) applications for hosting them.
When it comes to examples the SDK is pretty good, with a few VC++ projects. There's one for an "audio gain" plugin and another for delaying audio signals. However, if your interest is more towards writing host applications, the documentation falls a bit flat - and there are no examples of writing a host app AFAICT.
I signed up for the Steinberg forum and asked if anyone knew of any suitable examples I could study but nobody answered, so I wondered if anyone here has used the Steinberg SDK for building a VST host application? And if so, do they know of anywhere where I can find some example apps to look at?
