Possible to receive SMS on PC without GSM modem?
I've done some searching, and it seems like this is impossible, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a work around for this. The SMS will contain some text and I just want to input that text into my program, so if there is a way to send SMS to e-mail and output the e-mail to my program, that would work. Or send the SMS to google voice and from google voice to my program, that would work as well.
Also, I wanted to host a service that would constantly be reading SMS's sent to it and was wondering if there are companies that could maintain and provide internet access for a box that would be constantly receiving SMS's and running some sort of service. Similar to a web hosting service, I suppose, but they would be running my service and have a GSM modem attached (if that is needed to receive SMS).
Thanks in advance.
