pogo.com has a full-time/permanent position
available for a SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER/Engineer.

Responsibilities: Responsible for writing, implementing, and executing test cases, tracking problems, and reporting status on both Web-based and proprietary Windows 95 online game clients. In addition, will assist in general qualification of all other pogo.com software components.

Required Skills: Typically will have a technical BS degree or equivalent work experience. The optimal test engineer will have shown creativity, leadership and superior technical expertise in testing and will have successfully completed several moderate to major projects of a complex nature. Must enjoy a variety of games as an integral part of the testing process.

Requirements: Knowledge of PC software and hardware. Knowledge of Internet software. Working knowledge of Apple hardware and software a plus. Familiar with the bug reporting/regression and development process. Must have a flexible schedule as some nights and weekends may be required. Must be enthusiastic about computer gaming industry and the Internet. You must have strong visual composition skills as well as the ability to think through interaction issues during the design phase. Ability to work on a tight schedule across multiple projects is a necessity. Expertise in palette issues, file optimization, Web development, and HTML is also desired. The ideal candidate must also be able to run automated tests, have low-level black box experience, API test experience, the ability to write test scripts, test plans, white-box testing / debugging, web QA, Java Apps testing, Beta testing and shrinkwrap experience. Java games, Java client framework and Java infrastructure familiarity is a plus.
