    USB/Serial communication

    Hi all,
I'm developing an application which communicates with 3 devices with RS232 output at the same time. Since there's only one serial port on my computer, i connect 2 of the devices on USB, with a transformer wire. It works fine for the device connected directly on the serial port, but by the others connected on USB, i usually lose some random characters of the message, sometimes the whole message is lost, though sometimes the whole message arrives. The same happens when i try to communicate with only one device at the same time. On Windows HyperTerminal, every message from every device arrives, with the same port settings.
Thx if anyone has any idea

Make sure the driver is interrupt driven and that the handshaking works,
