when the computer shop people tried to put Windows xp the computer
didn't respond they said that it is beacause of the sata harddisk. After
somehow they put Windows xp.then my dad put windows vista again. Now it
works properly.but I want to put windows xp now should i do it?

I wouldn't do that. I would rather upgrade to Windows 7.
But isn't there some "classic" option in Vista you can select to get the familiar XP look and feel?

Whatever, actually! if your hardware can afford latest OS and many more burdens you wish to maintain during its run (installation of IDEs, games etc), then feel free to choose it. Newer versions always offer better-better security levels.

Well, I think you should use window 7 ultimate. It is a great version to use instead of using window vista. It is out-up-date now.

Pretty sure Vista SP1 is still good, at least until Windows 8 hits the street
